Built after it happened to our family
Savi Security started from a phone call that nearly wiped out a family's savings. It became a product that warns you before money moves.
In 2024, Patrick Coughlin watched a phone scam nearly take everything his grandfather had saved. The caller was calm, official-sounding, and convincing. A sharp, careful person almost complied. Afterward, Patrick kept returning to the same question: what if the phone itself had warned him before he answered? That question became Savi Security.
We are independently funded and operated from Denver, Colorado. Our focus is one problem done carefully: stop phone and text scams before money moves. No advertising, no data brokering, no surveillance. A tool that stays out of the way until the moment it matters.

Patrick Coughlin
CEO & Co-Founder
Patrick has spent years building consumer tools focused on safety and trust. A firsthand experience with phone fraud in his own family gave Savi its founding mission. He leads product vision and the day-to-day direction of the company.
Sarah Okafor
Co-Founder & CTO
Sarah has spent her career building machine learning systems that detect anomalous patterns in communication signals. She designed Savi's on-device detection pipeline, including the voice-cloning classifier, and leads all engineering.
James Whitmore
Head of Product
James has a decade of product experience in telecom, including work on consumer caller-ID and spam-filtering systems. He leads Savi's user research into how older adults interact with scam calls and what good protection actually looks like for them.
