Cookie Policy
Last updated: April 7, 2026
1. About This Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Savi Security, Inc. ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on saivsecurity.com. It supplements our Privacy Policy. This site operates a notice-only consent model: because we do not run advertising cookies or cross-site tracking, we inform you of cookie use and give you choices rather than requiring prior opt-in.
2. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow us to recognize your device across pages within the same visit, store lightweight preferences, and measure how visitors use the site in aggregate. We also use browser local storage for the cookie-banner dismissal state.
We do not use cookies to track you across other websites, to build advertising profiles, or to share your browsing behavior with third parties. Savi Security does not operate an advertising platform.
3. Cookies We Use
| Category | Examples | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Session cookie, CSRF token, authentication token, cookie-banner dismissal state | Session to 12 months |
| Preferences | UI theme, notification settings | Up to 12 months |
| Analytics | Anonymized page-visit counts, aggregated referral data | Up to 13 months |
| Marketing | Not currently used | -- |
Analytics are aggregated and anonymized. We do not share individual-level analytics data with advertising companies.
4. Notice and Choice
We display a cookie notice banner on your first visit. By continuing to use the site, you acknowledge our use of cookies as described here. You can opt out of analytics cookies through the banner or at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.
5. Universal Opt-Out Signals
We honor browser-transmitted opt-out signals including the Global Privacy Control ("GPC") as a request to opt out of any sale or targeted advertising. This is required under the Colorado Privacy Act and consistent with our practice in California, Connecticut, Texas, and Oregon. If your browser sends a GPC signal, analytics will not be initialized on your visit. No separate action is required beyond configuring your browser.
6. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies may be set by service providers who help us operate the site, such as hosting infrastructure providers. We have agreements with these providers that limit their use of data to providing services to us. We do not permit them to use cookie data for their own advertising.
7. Managing Cookies
- Use the "Cookie preferences" link in our site footer to reopen the banner and opt out of analytics.
- Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. For instructions specific to your browser, see aboutcookies.org.
- Blocking strictly necessary cookies will affect your ability to log in and use account features.
8. Changes and Contact
We may update this policy to reflect changes in how we use cookies. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any revision.
